VEGANGELICA

Singer and songwriter Erica Beay began playing the violin at age 8 and writing poetry and short piano pieces at age 12.   She first experienced vegan leanings at age 5, when she chose to go without supper rather than eat a fish whom someone beat to death before her eyes.  Erica became lacto-ovo vegetarian at age 18 and vegan at age 27.  Erica first composed guitar music using a child's $25 acoustic guitar in Fall, 2008, before switching to her electric guitar.  Thanks to a gift from her mom, she got her first drum set in Spring, 2009!

Erica has, besides her musical activities, another and more important creative endeavor she calls Cael.  Cael, age 6, plans to start his own band, Pontiac Pepperation 3.  However, currently Cael serves as the critic and overall supervisor of the creative process along with Cael's dad and Erica's spouse.
